I’m trying to add a column to the Woocommerce CSV import file for one of the Yoast Product Identifers, MPN.

Does anyone know what the column header needs to be for MPN in order for it to be picked up up ok?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Yoast neither has a way to integrate with a third-party CSV tool such as from WooCommerce nor has its own WooCommerce CSV import tool.

We know this is a limitation of our plugin.

We have a request with our developers to consider adding a feature which would permit CSV imports. While we are unable to say when we will or will not have that kind of feature, we do suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You may sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/ by scrolling towards the bottom to complete the sign-up field.

    Thanks for your reply Pcosta88.

This means you have to manually edit and add the MPN (for example) to each product then I guess?

That’s 200,000+ products and rising for our website – even with a bulk editor it is going to take many days to accomplish.

I think this should be a priority since there isn’t an option to stop these schema from being added (as far as I can tell). It just seems to be a way to generate mass warning messages in GSC.

    Thanks & regards

@culejules The only other way you’d be able to accomplish this other than manually editing is if a custom script was used to import the data into the database. Unfortunately we can’t offer support on custom code. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. Maybe someone watching these forums can assist you further, but if your topic is inactive for 7 days, we’ll mark it as resolved to keep the overview.

OK, no worries. I will investigate that route, thank you.
