Column Formatting

  • I am a WP and CSS newbie. I’ve been trying to figure this out on my own but thought I’d ask for help seeing as my project is due soon.

    How do I take the formatting from one column and apply it to the other? Where is the CSS code? Where would I take it from and apply it to? I’d like the formatting that’s on the left to be applied to the right. Thanks in advance.

    Your right column is called “third”. Your left column is called secondary.

    Your stylesheet is in your theme file, which in your case looks like its in /wp-content/themes/{name of your theme} Its file name is style.css.

    Do yourself a big favor and make a copy of it the way it is now before you change anything – its easy to make a mess of a CSS design before you have learned what you are doing.

    The only way to learn is to try.

    Start with copying some of the formatting from the right column and putting it in the left column. Step by step, keep trying out the changes you are making as you are making them.
