Colors – Dont know what #fffff is!

    I am totally new to wordpress, so no experience with web design. I am having a little problem, I dont know how to change the colour of the icons, all these #ffffff, I dont know what these things are. Could anyone give me a practical example of how I can change the color please? Thank you ??

    For example if I need blue icons, what values would I add to
    -Icon font color
    -Icon font hoover color
    -Background color
    -background hoover color
