Colormag & Kadence are not playing nice!

  • When I started using Kadence blocks, my site was on the flat bootstrap theme, which has stopped working for me. I recently switched to Colormag and love it! Beautiful, clean. However, I noticed that some Kadence features are not working. I deactivated all plugins but Kadence, and there was no improvement:
    1) The carousel feature of the testimonial no longer moves (on home page)
    2) Accordion block is broken (all text items are visible all the time, and there are no working controls to collapse/expand accordion
    3) Tabs block is broken (all text items from all tabs are visible all the time, and the tabs, which are supposed to be controls to switch, do nothing.
    Help!

    As my friend from the old days taught me to say, “I am a pain in my own ass.” I edited the footer.php in my child theme, which broke Kadence. My fix was to delete the file/lose my customizations to the footer and get my blocks back. Overall, a major win.
