    Hey all,
    I’m nearly done with the whole site but one nagging unresolved issue remains — all of my colors on the home page are dulled down. This isn’t an issue anywhere else.
    It’s as if there’s a white, transparent overlay on the entirety of the page. I’ve tried various CSS workarounds, and nothing gets the color right. This is a huge issue for me because these colors have to stay on brand.

    Anyone got any answers? ??
    Thank you so much!

    This is what the color looks like on home page:

  • Hi @kitrocka,

    Oh, that’s quite a difference! If you send a link to the site you are working on, I’ll be happy to look at this with you ??

    still a work in progress! So forgive me for what mess there is haha. Here’s the link: https://sandboxite.wpcomstaging.com/

    Thank you, Gemma!

    Hi @kitrocka,

    Thanks for the link, I don’t think it looks messy at all.

    I noticed footer links are the darker shade of pink (#d41f56) so the issue only appears to affect background images on the homepage.

    These images appear to be generated or handled by Elementor, which suggests the problem could be with the page builder rather than Lodestar. If Elementor provides the option to choose a hex colour for those areas, they may be applying additional CSS that creates different shades.

    It would be worth talking to them to start with, to see how those images are handled.

    Thanks for that feedback Gemma!
    I used the same builder for everything outside of the home page, and this issue was present before I discovered Elementor, so I fear that the issue still rests in the Lodestar theme.
    I’ll reach out to them regardless!

    Okay, that’s useful to know. Which builder are you using?

    I viewed source and your CSS using Chrome’s inspect tool but can’t see how those images have been added. Do you have a link to the original image file?

    Could you try adding the following, actually? I think we may have located the offending code:

    .lodestar-intro .entry-content {
        opacity: 1 !important;
    }

    Adding the “!important” because it seems to be loading inline for some reason, but I think that will clear things up.

    @supernovia that fixed it!!! Thank you soooo much! I tried something similar but didn’t quite cut it.
    Super appreciate your help. Saved me a big headache. ??
