Color Issue & Term Hover Box in Chrome

Hi TC,
following on from a previous post in this forum (see below) I am happy to report that I can now see the excerpt. The issue was a conflict with a setting in the Advanced Excerpt plugin just in case anyone else is having the same problem.

However the color coding still does not seem to be working and despite picking several different colors from the tooltip picker it always defaults to a yellowy color. I have had to change it via css but cannot understand why it is always going to default and would be better if it was working.

The other issue is that when I click on the glossary term it shows in addition to the excerpt a white hover box with border with the glossary term in it that vanishes after a couple of seconds. This is fine in IE as it appears above the glossary term link itself but when I hover over the term in Chrome the white hover box with term is appearing across the excerpt hiding the instructions.
