Collecting data is turned on by default is not cool. If you think you are saved by your Terms & Condition in your site, that will not work, as if somebody download just from WordPress .org, went to your website just to register, and have not looked at terms, like I was not forced to read even. In www.remarpro.com plugin you need permission from user to call home.

    Hello Asif,

Thank you for trying out WP Time Capsule and digging deep into the plugin. I’m totally with you on this. It’s not cool at all to collect anonymous data by default. To be very honest with you, the Send Anonymous Data part is not yet ready. There’s no code behind there. It’s just in the UI. We added the feature with a futuristic approach. However, this will be non identifiable data if we do collect it in the future so it will only help us in improving the plugin. Don’t worry about it, we have a release going out tomorrow and the default option will be set to No ??

Thanks once again for trying out WPTC and for your valuable comments!

    Cheers,
    Tauseef

Super Awesome Tauseef! I totally understand. This calling home is a major issue in plugin approval, so approach from the start should be turning it entirely off before you are fully ready.
