Collectibles & Fine Art Category

  • Hello, anyway to fix the Main Collectibles & Fine Art Category it’s missing.. when setting up a category unit the list is fragmented. It shows the sub categories of “Collectible Coins” then further down the list it shows “Entertainment Collectibles” then “Sports Collectibles”. all the other main categories on that list are good and you can drill down to the sub categories. Collectibles & Fine Art is the main category for coins, and sports, and entertainment.
    I cant get to the following sub categories that are within Collectibles & Fine Art.

    Advertising Collectibles
    Historical & Political
    Art

    Can you check it out.

    Can you post the URL of the category top page you are referring to?

    Its inside the wordpress site itself when setting up the category unit

    amazon auto links>> add unit by category

    it’s in the screen where you select the category
    so, don’t know how to send you that url without a login and password to the site.

    Which locale? Can you post the breadcrumb you are referring to? Or a screenshot by marking the problematic part would be helpful.

    I only see following two sub categories under the Collectible Coins category.

    
US > Collectible Coins > Individual Coins
US > Collectible Coins > Coin Sets

    I don’t see “Collectibles & Fine Art” on my end.

    It’s the U.S. Locale. all the “collectables” are housed under the main category in amazon
    called Collectibles & Fine Art there’s actually 7 sub categories (forgot stamps)
    this link takes you to the amazon us main Collectibles & Fine Art category and you can see the 7 sub cats underneath it.

    or
    amazon.com and choose the Collectibles & Fine Art category from the search dropdown that says “all” and hit search you’ll see all 7 subs show up.

    breadcrumbs in AAL should be.
    US > Collectibles & Fine Art > Collectible Coins > Individual Coins

    the tree being displayed in the plug in should actually go
    US > Collectibles & Fine Art > and then branch out to…..

    sports
    trading cards
    entertainment
    historical & political
    advertising
    coins
    stamps
    fine art

    See this page and categories that are not listed there cannot be found by the plugin. “Collectibles & Fine Art” seems to be one of those categories that is listed in the search index but not in the best seller section. So sorry, at the moment, the plugin cannot do what you expect.

    Though, once in a while Amazon updates those categories and it may be included in the future by Amazon. If it happens, the plugin will be able to find those categories.

    As a workaround, you should try the URL unit type. It accepts a URL of your desired page and pick up items from there.

    ok I see, it searches off the best seller list, I’ll give the url unit a try. that works for me thanks
