Hi. I’m new to the blogging world, and for now, using a theme to develop a blog for my agency. I got it roughly how I want it to look, but all of the posts show up on the main page as one long page. My boss wants them to collapse, so I installed Collapse-o-matic but it talks about coding which I’m not an expert in.

Simply put, I want to have the posts on the main page collapse. I’m not sure if each post needs to be a page or what. All I’ve done is use the “post” on the dashboard to write and publish a post. I’d rather not have to code it each time. Please, please help!

If you can tell me how to have it show “author” and “date” under each post title too, that would be great.

What you need to do is edit your main page template to automatically insert the collapse-o-matic code needed. This is somewhat advanced, and is beyond the scope of supporting the plugin.

Do you have anyone that can help you out with WordPress development? What needs to be done is relatively straight forward, so you just need someone that is comfortable editing php files and maybe some css.

If you are truly stuck, we would be willing to help you get this integrated as part of the support that comes with our pro version: Collapse-Pro-Matic. Hopefully this helps get you pointed in the right direction.
