Collapse-O-Matic stopped working

First: verify that the plugin is installed and activated.
Second: if a caching plugin is installed, clear any caching.

Update: yeah, it’s the caching plugin.

Yes, plugin installed and activated.

Turned off all caching and it still doesn’t work. Still showing only shortcode. Content not collapsed.

Where and how exactly is the shortcode being used?
Does it work correctly when placed on a test post or page?

it’s used on a WooCommerce category description. It used to work, but after updating plugins, it no longer works.

sounds like it’s an issue with WooCommerce category descriptions not processing shortcodes…

I fixed it by adding this code to functions.php

add_filter( 'term_description', 'shortcode_unautop' );
add_filter( 'term_description', 'do_shortcode' );
remove_filter( 'pre_term_description', 'wp_filter_kses' );
