Coding Question – Theme Changing

I’m not sure why, but this theme seems to have a lot of CSS, JS and misc files to load. Firstly, is this normal?

Secondly, is there a way to condense all of these files?

Thirdly, if I do condense them into one file, which part of the theme code do I need to change?

For example, one of the JS files seems to be external!
