code to limit picture size?

Is there a way to set the short code so that the photo [pfund-photo] is limited to a certain width and/or height? Since the photos will be uploaded by anyone, they might be too large for the format of the page unless they are modified. I tried making the short code [pfund-photo w=”300″ h=”300″] but that didn’t work. Thanks in advance!
