Code to add image file size (MB) to meta data

Goal is to have a list of images in the media library that I can sort by image file size. (File size = MB or KB; not the dimensions of the image – though that would be nice data to have too.)

WordPress does not normally add image file size to the meta data of the image. The code [sizes] can be added for thumbnail, medium, etc.

Is there a way to add file size? Code?

The codex article Function Reference/wp generate attachment metadata doesn’t have anything for file size that I can see.
