code text area not working

I am having this same exact issue as well. Very frustrating.

This is probably due to another plugin loading a conflicting version of CodeMirror on the edit snippets page. I have seen this before with the Debug Bar Console plugin which loads a very old version of CodeMirror on all admin pages.

Perhaps if you let me know which plugins you use I could go through them and see which ones use CodeMirror, or alternatively you could try disabling plugins one by one to see which plugin might be causing the error.

Oddly got it working for now.

I went into the settings and checked off “Show line numbers to the left of the editor.” and saved the settings… the settings did not save but this time the editor appeared blue and has been working ever since.

The second time i checked off “Show line numbers to the left of the editor.” the numbers were added and all seems fine.

Unfortunately it seems another plugin “Intense Shortcodes” offers a feature called SNIPPETS. Not sure exactly what it does.

There has been a bit of an issue with the settings not saving properly the first time they have been saved, but I think that I’ve managed to fix it in the upcoming version (2.2.0).

I had the same issue and szfpro’s settings update allowed me to access/edit the code field as well.
