Code Stripping for Users other than Super Admins

  • We are running a number of websites using WordPress Multi-site version 5.4.1

    When adding html code such as forms and iframes. The editor is stripping out much of the code for users other than the Super Admins when they update a page.

    In the Network Settings, Editor Settings we have enabled Default editor for all sites, Classic Editor. (So the classic editor is being used rather than the block editor.)

    As most changes had been made by the Super Admins it had not been clear that it was stripping the code for other users but as the number of people managing our sites has grown it is now showing to be an issue.

    Any advice on how to prevent the issue would be greatly appreciated.

  • Use a plugin like User Role Editor to give users (or a role) the unfiltered_html capability.

    Thank you so much Joy. The Role Editor plugin did not allow that access but based on your suggestion was able to find a plug in called Unfiltered Mu did.
