On my MultiSite, Wordfence is reporting code-snippets/js/min/codemirror.js as “Not a core, theme or plugin file.” It is issuing a critical “This file may contain malicious executable code”

The file is definitely present in Code Snippets svn repository, and my version is up-to-date.

How can I stop this file being flagged as a warning?

Do you have the code-snippets plugin individually installed, or is it bundled with a theme? If it is in the theme, is it a premium theme or a www.remarpro.com theme?

If you have the “Scan images and binary files as if they were executable” option enabled, it can produce false positives in files like this, but normally in freely available plugins and themes, it should not.

For now, if you are sure the file is ok, then you can click the link to ignore the file until it changes — that way, if it ever is modified, you will still receive a notice. You would still see a warning after updating the plugin is updated, but if you know the update caused the warning, you can click the link to ignore it again.
