    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I can’t seem to find your previous thread about this issue. Could you post a screenshot about how things look like in your notification emails?

You can use a service like https://snag.gy/ to post images here.

    Thanks!

Please see below for an example. When the email subscription is sent, they see not only the post, but also the code that is written:

    [spacer height=’20px’]

When it comes down to it, homemade pizza is the best. Whether you have a pizza stone or not, the idea behind creating your own pizza is simply cool. The pizza I am bringing you today is a little twist on the classic.

Roasting the garlic brings out the natural sweetness and takes this pizza to the next level. The fresh basil to finish helps round everything out. Impress all your friends and family with your very own homemade pizza![spacer height=’20px’]

They see all the coding too. How do I stop this from coming through to the email?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the extra details!

That’s indeed a known issue, that is documented here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/869

Until we get this fixed, a possible work around would be to use the More tag to split the content of each one of your blog posts in 2 parts:
    <!--more-->

Everything that is above the More tag will appear on your home page and in the notification emails, followed by a link inviting users to click to continue reading; everything that is below that tag will only appear on the post’s page.

You can read more about it here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

If you were to place all shortcodes after the More tag, they wouldn’t appear in the notification emails.

    Hello,

I am also experiencing this issue. When I tried to add the ‘read more’ feature as suggested, it still shows the coding. I do have a featured image in all of my posts.

    How can I fix this?

    Thank you!

@tylerfrat Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

it would also help if you could let me know your site URL.

    Thank you!
