Code only showing on page but is in category template

I can’t for the life of me figure this out.

I have a grid of posts in archives.php, but it only shows up once you use pagination to get to the 2nd (older posts) page?

Shows here under gallery:

Does not show here under gallery:

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? The Gallery I put in shows up as it should but not the grid of posts!
