    Hi, I have deleted the tag of Livechat in Google Tag Manager, but the code didn’t disappear from my website. After that I found out Google Site kit is the problem, deleted it and the problem was gone. After that I downloaded it again and reset it, connected it again with GTM and Analytics. Now the Live Chat code is again on my website. Does someone know how to solve this?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @artur21219 thanks for your topic. Some questions to help us troubleshoot:

    1) Is this the LiveChat tag that you configured in Google Tag Manger? Feel free to link to the correct one if not and we’ll test on our side.

    2) How did you notice the Livechat code was still present?

    Hi Renee,

    1. It’s not that tag, this is the tag: <!– Start of LiveChat (www.livechatinc.com) code –>
    <script type=”text/javascript”>
    window.__lc = window.__lc || {};
    window.__lc.license = 11800008;
    (function() {
    var lc = document.createElement(‘script’); lc.type = ‘text/javascript’; lc.async = true;
    lc.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://&#8217; : ‘https://&#8217;) + ‘cdn.livechatinc.com/tracking.js’;
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(lc, s);
    })();
    </script>
    <noscript>
    Chat with us,
    powered by LiveChat
    </noscript>
    <!– End of LiveChat code –>

    2. The widget still appeared on my website. So I checked the html and I saw that it was still on my website.

    @artur21219 I don’t see any LiveChat on your site at the moment. Did you manage to locate the source, or can you share a URL which contains this feature and we can hopefully assist?

    Hi James,

    That’s because I’ve deactived the Google Site Kit widget. That’s were the problem is. I will activate it now so you can look at it.

    @artur21219 Thanks for the update. I can now see the live chat widget.

    Can you check the “Live version” of your Tag Manager property and ensure the latest version you have does not include that tag?

    @artur21219 thanks for the screenshot. It says 3 tags and 1 variable in the image. I currently see only 2 tags in your image- do you know what the 3rd tag could be? Also confirming the variable?

    I didn’t understand that too.. I now see that it’s counting Livechat in it too if if i check it from the tab versions. Haven’t seen that tab earlier but still it’s not clear to me why. Under the tab ‘tags’ the there are only 2 tags.

    @artur21219 As you’ve now removed the tags from your workspace can you press the “Submit” button on the top right in order to publish the latest version without the remove LiveChat tag?

    While the issue you are encounter seems more Tag Manager related as opposed to Site Kit I’m happy to check your setup once you publish the latest version (without the Livechat).

    You are great James, it worked, it is now gone!

    Which setup would you like to see?

    @artur21219 Great, nice to hear you got it resolved.

    In relation to checking your setup I was referring to checking your site after you publish the latest version of your Tag Manager container.
