I’m about to embed the link of my website to a facebook post and there is a peice of the translated stuff that belongs to mail poet that gets grabbed by facebook preview generator.

Check that picture. I guess that in english, the leaked line would be something such as “Please leave this field empty”

You can visit the website at https://radioquebec.tv

Is there a way to remove that crap?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi!

I checked the URL on the Facebook Debugger and I could see the same message you’re getting: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/?q=radioquebec.tv

Facebook takes that information from the first text popping up on your site OR it takes it from your site’s description. In this case, you can:

    – Add a site tagline to your site, so that info would be the one used by Facebook.
    – If adding a site tagline makes it show up on your site (and you don’t want to display it), you can hide it by using a custom CSS rule like visibility:hidden;, that way the tagline will be hidden but present in the code (and FB should take it as a description).

Please give it a go and let us know about the results!

    Hi there @vegantommy,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
