Code layout gone after update 2.13

    No setting change nor code layout change will have a positive effect on this.

    The code layout is goe and all looks like plain text. Also the keyboard short keys (f.i. CTRL S to save) do not work anymore.

    I’m running plugin version 2.13 and WordPress version 5.0.1 and I haven’t installed any new plugins.

    Sounds like the CodeMirror library is not loading for some reason. Have you tried using a different browser or clearing your site cache to see if that makes a difference?

    If you open your browser console, can you see any error messages that might be relevant?

    I have a similar problem with 2.13 (lot of text is missing everywhere, very strange)
    I rolled back to 2.12.1 and its fine. I have this problem on many sites with 2.13 (with different themes or plugins..)

    Any solutions ?

    Edit : it look like its a problem with translation ! i deleted the FR.po/mo files in the plugins directory and its working now… (i’m french)

    This is a script error I get when opening a snippets on the main site (multi site):

    undefined is not a function (near '...(d=jQuery).widget...')

    Might be related?

    @bungeshea I know where you can search for the bug.

    When I have the option: Show labels on admin pages ACTIVE >> Everything is ok.

    When I de-activate this option I get plain text in stead of code highlighting.

    Hope you can find there issue. At least you now have a smaller area to search.

    Thank you for that extra information @iwebbers. It looks like there was an issue with how I was combining the scripts for the code editor and the tag editor together. I’ve split the scripts into different files and ensured they load correctly, which seems to fix this issue. The fix will be included in the next plugin release.
