I’m reposting my question because the HTML code turned into quote marks…

When someone applies for a job via email, the subject line uses the HTML code for quotation marks – "
Is there any way to either remove the code or replace it with a simple ”
    For example:

Application via "Logistics Manager" listing on https://www.naturalhealthproducts.nz

    Should be…

Application via “Logistics Manager” listing on https://www.naturalhealthproducts.nz

    Hopefully this will work…

    Hi @ronstallmach

This seems certainly possible adding some customization to the code, however
customization is outside of the scope of the support that we offer, per
    our Support Policy: https://wpjobmanager.com/support-policy/.

Most likely you will need to filter the email subject output and escape the HTML properly to it appears as quotation marks and not as"

If you need it, you can search for development help in a variety of places — here are a few to start:

The problem is that it’s not a customization issue – it’s a bug.
We need a fix so that either the HTML quote marks are removed from the automatically generated email subject OR we need the " replaced with a simple "

While our developers are working on this, a possible workaround may be to add a job_manager_application_email_subject filter to change the subject line.
