The plugin only inserts the code you configure.

You can always check source code of the page.
You can also use web inspector in the browser to examine the code.

And there are also debugging functions to label inserted code blocks:

That space is part of the ad block and generated by the ad code.
You can’t remove it, you can only change the color.
