    Hey there,

    im creating a homepage for our local football club. I have created a post with a shortcode from a gallery plugin an this shortcode is displayed on the startpage of my site. Is there a solution to prevent this problem? I use the including widget of the theme

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Dynamic News.

    WordPress automatically generates an excerpt from the first words of the content, and removes all text formatting and images. Also, shortcodes do not work there.

    In order to prevent that the shortcode text is displayed barely, you can enter a manual excerpt when you edit the post. The manual excerpt will replace the automatic generated one.
