    Hello,
fantastic plugin! Better than the “other” one I was using. Thank you for it.
Is there a code like %now% that would show the current date?
    Example:
    Today is Saturday 24.02.2024 10:02
    [open_text] Today is %today% %date_now% %now% [/open_text]
    Thank you.

@peitl The simple version is “no” for this.

However, you can create a simple function that would do the same. I haven’t added such functionality as isn’t something that I can see as useful for businesses with opening hours – and there are many ways to show the current, fully formatted date and time.

And, you can use combine some simple PHP or JavaScript with the [open_text] Shortcode to get the desired result (but I can’t really see any advantage to this).

    I’ll explain:
the surgery has irregular opening hours. Sometimes every day, sometimes only some days and Saturdays, different hours each time. I now update that regularity manually, and my clients’ wish is to see the current date in addition to the list of surgery days so they don’t have to think.
That’s why I was interested in your plugin. I would like to use only “Exceptions or Holidays” with the date format “full_date_month_nos”. I wanted to make sure I didn’t overlook some option to display the current date.

Thank you for the quick reply.

@peitl May I suggest a better solution to this?

The plugin does offer additional classes for “today” and “special”. You can use this to stylise the opening hours to highlight the current day as well as any opening hours that are not regular (i.e. special). Check in the Shortcodes tab in Settings, under HTML Classes for more information.

With date formatting, you can vary this between regular and special opening hours if needed.

This will make it easier for customers/patients to follow. I’ve done something similar in the first ever website this plugin was used as they have very irregular opening hours.

Thank you for the help. I have already solved it to my complete satisfaction (CSS).
In the future I would be very grateful for more specs for the following days (not just tomorrow).
I don’t need it yet, it would be great to be able to use opening hours for multiple offices (on one site).
I wrote a five star review and sent a post for coffee ??
    Thank you again very much.
