Question about wp-optimize and my htaccess file:

I just switched from wp-rocket to wp-optimize and am used to wp-rocket adding a lot of code to my htaccess file, and also wp-rocket placing this code at the top of the htaccess file.

With wp-optimize I see much less code added to my htaccess file, and moreover this code is not at the top but at the bottom of my htaccess file. I am talking about the code related to WP-Optimize Browser Cache.

    • Is it correct that this is the only code wp-optimize adds to my htaccess file?
    • And is it correct that this code is at the bottom of the htaccess file?

    Thanks,
    Alwin

    Hi Alwin,

I have double checked this in my .htaccess and this is normal. Due to the plugin running on different servers such as ngix which don’t have a .htaccess we keep the reliance on the .htaccess to a minimum.
