Co-Authors Plus not working right

    Hi. I’ve been enjoying your plugin but ran into an odd thing: Co-Authors Plus stopped working as expected, I can’t add more than one author to a CPT. I can add more authors to regular posts but not to a CPT unless I turn off the cache in wp optimize.
    This is a live site I can’t just turn plugins off for, or change themes, to see if there’s a conflict with another plugin or the theme. So I tried it on the development version of this site, same plugins, same settings, same theme but I can’t reproduce the problem. It’s not the exact same server setup Apache/2 vs Apache etc but it does have the same version of PHP.
    I realize this is a long shot and am not expecting an answer but I thought I’d post here anyway in case someone has a suggestion or angle I hadn’t thought of. Any thoughts much appreciated!

  • Hi,

    I just tested the plugin with a CPT, and it works fine for me.
    The process seems to be all happening in the admin, which isn’t supposed to be affected by the cache at all.

    Is there anything in the developer console when trying to add an other author? Or in the network tab?

    Also Co-Authors Plus just got updated, so maybe you want to try updating it, to see if there was a possible error there.

    Hell Marc, thank you so much for responding and trying this. I really appreciate it.
    I just did some more testing to see what happens in the console and there is nothing there but I did notice that the problem is also there if I don’t have the WP Optimize cache on.
    It happens when some of the files get cached by the browser, so I’m having a different problem. I’m marking this as resolved for this support forum.
