• Just installed the plugin, and get this error message on compression: CMYK color space is not supported

Any idea why? Can I fix it?

    Thanks
    Robert

CMYK is a particular method of storing color information. Although supported by JPEG, it is actually very rare to find a CMYK JPEG file. Our service currently does not support CMYK JPEG files.

A temporary solution is to open that JPEG file with an image editing program and save them as an “RGB” JPEG file. If you don’t have such a program readily available you can do this easily online at https://www.cmyk2rgb.com.

We do agree 100% that it’s annoying we currently can’t convert & compress CMYK JPEG files for you. It’s very likely this will be implemented by us in the future!

    Hi,
We now support CMYK images. Could you please update your plugin and retry the image? Please also reconsider your review rating ??

I’d say this raises the 2-star rating to a 5-star rating.

On the rarity of CMYK jpg files, I work in an environment where the mainstay of the designers are used for print. They work exclusively in high-res CMYK files. So when they need to send me a JPG file, it’s most likely going to be in CMYK format. So good job on getting that support to the plugin/compression algorithm!
