    Hello.

I am trying to configure complianz plugin and I removed all categories as I only have the functional (strictly necessary) cookie.
However when I click on “Accept” button, the following cookies are all set to “allow” by default, whereas I did not select them:
    cmplz_marketing
    cmplz_statistics
    cmplz_statistics-anonymous
    cmplz_preferences

I think they should be set to “deny” by default, because if suddenly I add a new cookie that is marketing, then the user will have it set as accepted.
Also it is a bit frightening for a user if he checks his cookies, he sees them as “allow” whereas he didn’t allow them at all.

Is there a way to set them as “deny” by default, maybe through a snippet, or simply remove those that have been removed from the configuration like in my case?

    Hi @doolyo,

The Accept button works as a “Accept-All” button, if you don’t have any non-functional cookies, none will be activated.

I would suggest the following until you add a Marketing or Statistics service/category.

You can choose the Accept/Deny banner (Cookie banner settings -> Template) and choose to hide the accept button (with some CSS). Users will press deny (you can set the text to OK or Understood).

This won’t make a difference for your current situation, but cookies in your browser will produce the expected behavior for users.

If you need help with CSS, let me know.

    regards Aert

    Hello.
Thank you I have tried your suggestion.
This works fine for the cmplz_consent_status cookie which is then set to dismiss.
However I still have cmplz_statistics-anonymous and cmplz_functional cookies which are set to ‘allow’, which is not really good, because if I change the banner and decide to put the consents for any reason, then those cookies will have been already allowed for old visitors.

However maybe these are not necessary to be set to dismiss. But maybe there is a way to remove those cookies fully or change their default value?
I know that those two other cookies are normally always accepted so for me the solution is already very good at that point.
