CLS issue
-
Hi, I installed your plugin after using a similar plugin that became deprecated.
The plugin works fine in terms of keeping the widget(s) fixed, but I’m seeing CLS (Content Layout Shift) issues caused when a user scrolls down and the fixed widget hits the bottom of the page, and also when the user scrolls up and the fixed widget hits the top of the page.
This is causing around 1-1.5 CLS on the Google Core Web Vitals scores per page (each time the user scrolls up and down) on the site.
I’ve tested using a blank WordPress install with the 2021 theme to make the issue easy to replicate, and the “Core Vitals” extension from Google Chrome extensions by addyosmani to measure the UX CLS score.
Please could you let me know if there’s any way to use your plugin without the CLS issues – is there a simple fix for this?
Thanks.
