    Hi,

Thanks for making such a great plugin.

We use Cloudways for hosting and we have connected Redis through Hummingbird. I found this article: https://www.cloudways.com/blog/install-redis-cache-wordpress/ which suggests changes to the wp-config.php file when using Redis. Do I also need to do this before/after connecting to Redis through Hummingbird?

We may use Hummingbird and Redis with our other sites that sit on the same server in the future. In that case, would I have to do anything different? Like following the suggested wp-config.php at the posted link? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Hi @bclaim,

If you’re running only one site then the connection through HB should be enough, however, if you’re going to use multiple sites on the same server then you will need to add that WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT defined mentioned in the article.

    Cheers,

    Thank you for your reply.

Would I also need to add the WP_CACHE line if I were to utilise Redis on multiple sites on the same server, or is the WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT line enough?

    Thanks.

    Hello @bclaim ,

You shouldn’t be needing to add WP_CACHE define.
