• Hi,

I have a printer (TSP 654II) that was using the beta Star Micronics email-to-printer service (thank you for letting me use this). If I remember correctly, I had to install a different firmware for it to work.

I’d like to use this same printer for CloudPRNT. I’ve connected it to the website, and the receipt does print but the font is very big. Every single word is big. Modifying set_font_magnification() to 1,1 or 2.2 made no difference.

I’m thinking I need to install a CloudPRNT compatible firmware?

Searched for a long time but could not find any downloadable firmware. Is there any way you guys could point me in the right direction?

    Thanks so much!

@j007w There shouldn’t need to be any different firmware for the WordPress Plugin or the email service. Both are based on the same CloudPRNT protocol. You may have been advised to update the firmware, but it will probably still have been the standard release.

It sounds like you have made some customisations to the plugin, so could you please try to back those up, switch to the standard release version and do another test print? If the problem goes away, then maybe there is probably a customisation issue, (let me know, we’ll try to work out where), but if not then it is definitely printer side, and better to contact Star support directly.
