Cloudguard Bug – Romania

    It appears that there is a problem with the Cloudgurad plugin. When I add Romania to the allowed country list as follows: US,RO … it still blocks a Romania IP address from accessing the admin area. I have to disable the plugin to allow the Romainia IP.

    Hi @rbirkey, thanks for getting in touch!

    I suspect this is caused by an incorrect IP location header from Cloudflare. It is sometimes not possible to determine the location of an IP accurately. This means Cloudflare might be thinking that the Romanian IP is actually located in Hungary, for example. This can happen more frequently if you are near the border of a country.

    Unfortunately we would not be able to fix that via the plugin since it is part of Cloudflare’s Geo IP system.
