Happy New Year to you all!

I have taken over the running of 5 small wordpress-based sites that all run off Cloudflare. The first thing I did was install Wordfence on all of them. I haven’t had any problems with the plugin, I am trying out Wordfence Central. I seem to be able to add 4 of the sites but the last one complains about Clouflare Firewall rules.

I have already created a rule to allow access and see lots of ‘allow’ actions in the cloudflare firewall log after I try to add the site e.g :

    02 Jan, 2020 14:53:53
    Allow
    United States
    54.68.32.247
    Firewall rules

Can you suggest any other actions to take?

Hi @wfgerald – the error is:

We’ve detected CloudFlare blocking our requests to your site. For help on resolving this issue, see our troubleshooting connection issues article here.

I followed the Cloudflare directions on the WF Troubleshooting page a few weeks ago but it doesn’t seem to help. It is strange that none of the other sites on the same Cloudflare account has this trouble, which makes me think it is something specific on this site: https://wildlifeworldtrade.co.uk

I can’t find any other security plugins that might be stopping it – except perhaps LoginPress – if that uses Cloudflare, that might be the issue do you think?

    Hey @wildlifeworld,

You might try clearing all caching to see if it helps? If it doesn’t, can you try temporarily disabling plugins to see if it helps? I’d pay special attention to the LoginPress plugin.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @wildlifeworld,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
