I keep getting the message: We’ve detected CloudFlare blocking our requests to your site. For help on resolving this issue, see our troubleshooting connection issues article here.

I have already applied the firewall exception, and this site was connected to my Wordfence Central dashboard already. It just stopped working suddenly, so I tried disconnecting/reconnecting. It is now saying it’s blocked by Cloudflare, but it is not, I checked. What could be going wrong here?

    Hi @hpthatsme

I don’t see any sites listed under the Connection Issues tab in your Wordfence Central account so it appears to be resolved.

Yes, that’s because I disconnected it. Now I can’t reconnect it.

    Hi @hpthatsme

    Thank you for the update.

I still don’t see any sites listed under the Connection Issues tab in your Wordfence Central account so it appears to be resolved.

It is not resolved. I can’t add it. The only time I have seen any sites listed in the Connection Issues tab is when they have been added, but are having trouble connecting now. I just now tried again, and I get the same error.

I have checked my Cloudflare firewall log, and it says the ip 54.68.32.247 is allowed, so I don’t understand why Wordfence Central is still saying it is blocked.

    Hi @hpthatsme,

    Thanks for the update.

I would like to have a look at your Wordfence diagnostics report. Please go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and @hpthatsme as the forum username please.

Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail.

    Just sent it.

    Thank you for the update.

If you have disabled the WordPress REST API in iThemes Security can you enable it again and try connecting the site to Wordfence Central.

Just did that, still can’t connect.

    Hi @hpthatsme

I see what the problem is.

The Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd plugin disables the WordPress REST API and you can’t change that behaviour unless you upgrade their plugin to the premium version.

Please try again once the site is live and the Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd plugin has been deactivated.

That solved it, thanks! I wouldn’t have expected that since it kept telling me it was a Cloudflare blocking issue. Maybe the error message can be revised?
