Cloudflare — Global API Key

  • Hello,

    I installed this plugin and I was asked for Cloudflare Global API Key in order to minimize potential conflict (as what this plugin says). I am using Cloudflare. Can someone enlighten me here why I should provide Cloudflare Global API key? What potential conflicts if I don’t provide the key? Can just the plugin be able to work properly without the key? Thanks.

    if you do not add the cloudflare integration, you need to purge the cache on cloudflare manually after you clear the cache of wpfc.

    Thanks for the reply. But it seems that cloudflare doesn’t encourage to purge the cache. In their panel, it is written “Note: Purging the cache may temporarily degrade performance for your website and increase load on your origin”.

    So, I am rather confused here. If purging the cache can degrade the performance of my website and increase load on the origin, what is then the purpose of purging the cache of wpfc?
