Cloudflare firewall protection with QUIC

Hi,
I’m currently on cloudflare free plan & my hosting proposed QUIC Cloud Enterprise.
I saw your article on how to :
I'm switching from Cloudflare, but I want to continue using it for DNSIf I keep my DNS at cloudflare & use QUIC Cloud for caching, do I still benefit from Cloudflare’s firewall rules & DDOS protection?
Or am I bypassing it ?
