• 1) Have added the cache everything page rule in Cloudflare (free), to make sure their Edge is also caching the html, as it isn’t by default. Is that okay with WPFC w/o further tweaking?
    2) With the above rule and CF integration enabled, is the whole excluding section (pages, cookies, user agents, etc.) of WPFC still being respected by CF?
    3) Do I need to additionally exclude the cart and checkout pages now, for example? (By default, WPFC doesn’t do that, but doing the equivalent Bypass Cache on Cookie rule for the woocommerce_items_in_cart cookie becomes possible in CF only in their paid plans.)

I’m asking those questions specifically, as it seems customers are having caching issues during checkout, and want to rule out I may have a misconfiguration /misunderstanding with the proper way of integration of both caches.

    Thanks!

    1. yes
    2. the exclude rules of wpfc are not applied to cloudflare
    3. “cache everything” may cause some problem about it. on the wpfc side, you can take a look at the following tutorial: https://www.wpfastestcache.com/tutorial/woocommerce-settings/

That’s unexpected news! How one makes sure then that CF isn’t caching pages that shouldn’t (wp-admin, wp-login, cart, checkout, etc.) when just a single “cache everything” page rule is enabled in CF? Why isn’t needed additional setup of specialized CF plugins that do support page exclusions?

Thanks, I understand the reasoning behind WPFC when it’s alone all by itself. What I fall to understand though is how one chains that logic upstream to the CF Edge level, especially when their “cache everything” is enabled, without repeating all those rules and exclusions all over again.

    you should stop using cloudflare.

stop using cloudflare does not seem a bright idea !

i use woocommerce, cloudflare and WP fastest cache alltogether without any problem.
