Hello! CloudFlare sent out an email that said that they are deprecating the Zone Analytics REST API and they encourage people to use GraphQL Analytics APIs instead. See information from the email below.

Does this CloudFlare for WordPress plugin use the Zone Analytics REST API or is there anything we need to do for migrating this? Thanks!

    From CloudFlare:
    “Hi there,

Cloudflare deprecated the Zone Analytics REST API on the 12th of December, 2019 and we encourage our customers to use the new GraphQL Analytics APIs instead.

This is a notification that we are extending the end of life date until the 1st of March 2021 to give our users more time to migrate. After 1st of March 2021, the Zone Analytics REST API will not be available, and any services you have that depend on this API will break. We will be performing a 24-hour API brownout on the 15th of February 2021 as well, in order to test the usage of the service.

In addition, we now support API tokens in GraphQL so that customers can authorize access to specific Cloudflare apps, accounts, and zones with limited permissions.

Please find more details about how to complete the migration in our Zone Analytics to GraphQL Analytics article.

Please contact Cloudflare Support if you have any questions.

    Regards,
    The Cloudflare team”

  • This will not require changes by customers using the plugin other than updating the plugin. Cloudflare will update the plugin as necessary.

This will mean though that after the removal of those endpoints, older versions of the plugin will no longer be able to fetch analytics since they will use these old APIs.
