• Cloning a page changes the original page slug, when it should be the clone that has a duplicate slug and therefore appended with an integer.

For example if I clone the following page: website.com/section/page/
the original is renamed website.com/section/page-2/ and the clone becomes website.com/section/page/

The opposite should occur, as many will not realize the permalink to the original has been modified.

  • Hello,

I have almost the same issue with slugs.
    If I clone the page “website.com/section/page” ID=1
    I have this result:
    – My old page: “website.com/section/page-2” w/ ID=1
    – My new page: “website.com/section/page-2” w/ ID=2

That’s really annoying because if you set redirections before cloning pages, those will not work anymore…

I’m using WP nested pages 1.5.4
