Cloned subdomain keep redirecting to top level domain
-
Howdy. “Long time listener, first time caller here…”
I’m a WordPress newb so I’ll try to be detailed as possible.
A client asked me to redesign and update their site. Their current site uses WordPress 3.6.1 (*gasp*) and Genesis 2.0.1 theme.
I want to redesign the site using a subdomain so that I don’t disturb the live site during the update and redesign. I cloned the site to the subdomain (using options in Softaculous in cpanel). But whenever I try to log into the /wp-admin or /wp-login at the subdomain it keeps redirecting me to the /wp-login of the top level domain.
Is there something special I need to do to have a completely separate clone of the site while I update the site?
Thanks!
