Cloned prod db locally. Now user passwords different?

I copied my production database to my local machine. (And did other things like copying my wp-content folder, etc.)
My site works okay, but when I try to login as the admin user that works on prod, I get a login error locally. I’ve checked and double checked the username and password combo that works on production, and it doesn’t work locally.
Is there some reason that the password hashes would be different locally than on production?
