• I’m not sure when this happened because I haven’t used WP for a few weeks, but now “New Draft” and “Clone” are not working – they redirect to a “WordPress Failure Notice” page at /wp-admin/admin.php?action=duplicate_post_save_as_new_post&post=434 which says “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.”

The “Please try again.” link loops back to /wp-admin/edit.php

Is anyone else experiencing this and/or is there a fix ?

    Thanks !

  • Same here, it is no longer working for me, since 3.9.2 update.

I also experience this problem, even when I was running WP 3.9.1 still. I have just updated to WP 3.9.2 and the problem persists.

Does anyone know what causes this and have a solution?

    Hi everybody,
I can’t reproduce the bug, can you tell me:
    – which is the role of the user with whom you’re trying to clone a post;
    – what are the settings in the Duplicate Post Options page (a screenshot like this one would be perfect);
    – which plugins are you using?

I’m sorry to ask for all those info but I really need a starting point here…

    Hello Lopo,

The plugin has stopped working for me as well. I am the administrator of my site, logged in as such. WP 3.9.2 and i am getting the same result.

I have multiple plugins and am using the Quasar Theme by ZanderRock on Themeforest.

Same error as reported by others. The plugin worked perfectly before 3.9.2, so I suspect something in it is the culprit.

    Hi,
the problem is, I’m using WP 3.9.2 and it’s working, so it seems it’s not WP version alone that triggers the problem…
Can you list the plugin you have active on your site?

I’m looking at the changes in WP 3.9.2 since 3.9.1: they are very few and they seem to be unrelated to the API calls that my plugin uses…
Paul Westerbeek says it didn’t work with 3.9.1 either, can anybody confirm or disprove that?

    Hi everyone,

I am logged in as Administrator and here’s the screenshot.

I’m pretty sure the plugin was working fine on WP 3.9.1 before. The problem only started today for me, but I have to admit I don’t use the ‘Clone’ and ‘New draft’ options on a daily basis… I updated to WP 3.9.2 today and, as mentioned before, that didn’t solve the problem.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help solve this problem.

I can confirm this as well.

First, thanks for the great plugin!

I’m now experiencing the same issue. I’m also sure it was working fine with 3.9.1 (I was taking screen captures in Mid July, which would have been 3.9.1, correct?)

    Now I get the message:

Are you sure you want to do this?
    Please try again.

First noticed it today issue today. Only place within my wordpress install with the message that occurs is wp-includes/functions.php (function wp_nonce_ays).

I also use Time.ly event calendar Version 2.1.4 , this happened around the time of Version 2.1.3, which was right after 3.9.2

That seems to be common among @verdaccio (All-in-one Event Calendar) and @mark Bernard – All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly 2.1.4 (Aug 19)

So I just took a backup, deactivated it, and sure enough that was it. That plugin has a feature to clone or duplicate events and is likely interfering with this. I’d like to see this resolved somehow.

How do we get this resolved? One of their lead developers Nicola, is also Italian.

I’ve posted in their developer forum – https://time.ly/forums/topic/conflict-with-duplicate-post-plugin/#post-147251

    (@markwebstar)

i also use All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly, and their latest update also seems to be conflicting with Really simple Facebook Twitter share buttons.

Adding to markwebstar — after a round of disabling plugins, it’s All-in-One Event Calendar that is causing it.

I just installed “All-in-One Event Calendar” and I am also getting the same error. Is there any fix for this yet?

I just switched to an alternative post duplicator plugin and it is working with no trouble but I would rather stick with “Duplicate Post”.

I was having the same issue, so I deactivated “All-in-One Event Calendar” because we haven’t started using it yet. Please post once a way to help these plug-ins get along has been found.
