• Hi, I need help to create a client portal on my website. My business we do financial management for families with disabilities.

The main functional of portal is for caregivers working with families to be able to create a membership/login on our website, that gives them their own profile and ability to register their hours they have worked for that week in a timesheet form they can create, that then alerts those families guardians/parents for approval, once they have approved the caregivers timesheet, it gets sent to our finance team so we can supply the funds.

I have looked at plugins like memberpress and different timesheet plugins, but haven’t been able to figure out how to combine any to accomplish what im after. Not sure how to assign/pair guardians to certain caregivers to only view/approve their timesheets etc and how to make caregivers able to fill in their hours when they login.

Please let me know if you can be of any help, thanks.

If you cannot find a plugin that works the way you want, something may need to be custom developed. Either by modifying an existing plugin, or by creating one anew.

For example, a custom page template could be developed that displays data that’s only related to the current user, or some other specific user related to them through a user meta entry. Or someone with adequate capability can view anyone’s data.

This page could be in the form of an editable form so the right users can update their data.

A random thought, have you looked at Google sheets to see if they offer adequate access control?
