Client has Windows Server any issues to expect?

  • My client has a windows server (Windows server 2003R2) are there any issues when it comes to using WordPress on a widows server?

    I have notified their IT guy of the server requirements and it is up to date with PHP and Mysql however, he informed me that using IIS so mod_rewrite apache module will not work. He said:

    I’m assuming you want this in wordpress to allow permalinks. I’ve already updated the php.ini file to allow wordpress to do them – see this reference for changes

    If that is not workable then there is an IIS Mod_rewrite I can install.
