Clicking View More in a Widget that has a Filter

    I have the Events widget on a sidebar, it is filtered so as to show only one category. When someone clicks View More, the link takes them to a calendar page that is specific to that category… “/events/category/[selected-category]/”. This shows only the events for the selected category.

    The problem is that at the top of the calendar I have my other categories. When I select another category to view, the events on the calendar are greyed out but the newly selected category events are not displayed because the page/url is specific to the event category selected from the widget.

    Is there a way to have the category links at the top of the calendar open the url for that event category? Or, is there a way to have the View More from a widget open the full calendar and have all but the selected category greyed out? I’m open to other ideas and have no problem going into the code.
