• Hi, I clicked the subbmit botton because I wanted to quickly see the page it links to. This form used to work, but now… clicking it results in a page that never loads,
this is the address its tyring to use:
    https://mydomain.com/contact/?wp_cta_redirect_441=https://mydomian.com/contact/&wp-cta-v=0&wpl_id=574&l_type=wplid

NOT ONLY DOES IT NEVER LOAD, But it activates a process which completely disables my WordPress installation. The first time it happened it cut off my database access and I have to go in to repair and optimize the database.

My host told me that due to high CPU usage in the last hour they have to throttle my site which I believe is why nothing loads. For some reason submitting the form results in massive CPU usage (and potentially broken database structure). Subsequent attempts to click through the form result in having to repair and optimize the database again, and then wait around a while for what I’m assuming is waiting for the throttling to stop.

WHAT HAPPENED? Why isn’t this working anymore and what can be done to fix it?

Do you have any caching plugins installed on your site? It might speed things up if you are on a shared host.

Also, how many plugins do you have activated. The entire site is running very slowly and the PHP call on the redirect is timing out due to the latency on the entire wordpress instance.

The code works its just your shared hsoting enviroment that is overloaded and the process is not running.

    Who are you hosting with?

    It’s Bluehost.

I’m running a lot of plugins like 80 active right now. Many of them serve similar purposes, like I have 2-3 SEO plugins because each has some feature I want to use, but none of them have all the features desired. I have a couple of squeeze page and optin page plugins because I’m testing them or trying to figure out what combination will resulting a working optin, autoresponder, & sales funnel.

A more relevant example for you David might be the squeeze page plugin I’m using which creates great templates, but then I have to copy those template and configure them for the landing page plugin if I want the slick look and functionality they offer to work for my split tested landing pages.

I’ll go through the plugin list and delete the stuff that’s not critical to operations.

That is your main problem then. Shared host + a lot of plugins.

I wouldn’t run more than 20 on a shared hosting environment.

Alternatively you could get a better hosting situation with WPengine or something
