Clicking search icon on smartphone (Chrome browser) expands the pages

  • I’m having a weird problem which wasn’t before and isn’t in hueman demo site as well.

    Upon clicking the Search icon in header on smartphone in Chrome browser, the page zooms-in automatically (on all pages of site). As a result, I’ve to zoom-out to fit the page on screen.

    This is really annoying me and I’ve tried removing all the custom modifications I made to child theme but the issue is still there.

  • Hi mayurjango. I ran a mobile device test (iPhone 5) using two test sites with Chrome and didn’t see any problems. Test results are here.

    The issue isn’t present on test sites but is visible on smartphones. I tried on several phones and apparently the issue occurs on Chrome v39 for Android and not on Chrome v35.

    But at the same time, the issue isn’t present on Hueman demo site on Chrome v39. Wondering what could be the real cause.

    Seems like a specific platform/OS-related problem. Maybe you can revert back to the previous version of Chrome? Since I don’t have any way to test it I don’t think I can offer any other suggestions.
