    Hello,
I have just installed your plugin v3.0.3.1 and found the same problem mentioned in a previous post. Tryed to deactivate and re-activate the plugin but it has no effect.
table preview is OK but all data are lost clicking on “publish”.
It doesn’t matter if starting from scratch or importing a csv file.
    Any suggestion?

    Hi Morgan,

I have figured out the problem for this issue, its a pretty big problem. I’m currently in the process of updating the plugin (complete rewrite done right this time) which will hopefully solve all these silly mistakes that I made first time around. I’m no longer using my own saving feature, no need to reinvent the wheel especially if it doesn’t work properly lol.

I’m hoping the get the update done ASAP, by next week the latest I want to push it out. The meat of the plugin is done, editing, styling, imports, shortcode, etc. I just need to hookup a few more feature like responsiveness and a few other features that people have requested needs to done.

Here is a tiny sneak peak ??

If you have any suggestions/feature requests then please let me know because this is the best time to get them done. I want to make sure all the features that people want is included ??

Thanks for being patient and understanding.

Hello, I’d like to know when we can expect the plugin to actually save the data. ?? I came across the plugin earlier this week and it is just the right plugin for what I need to do, except it doesn’t save any data.

    Hey Bitpicker,

First of all thank you for using(trying to use) my plugin ?? I’m currently working tirelessly to update the plugin. Unfortunately due to school and work, the only times I have available to work on the plugin is late at night. Needless to say it has been a slow process but it is coming along great. By the end of the weekend I’m hoping to have the update ready for release. I only need to incorporate a few more options such as an extra method of responsiveness, filtering, and pagination.

I’m going to challenge myself and shoot for an update on Sunday, if I don’t get it out by then please yell at me.

Thanks again for using my plugin, if you have any further questions/comments/suggestions id be happy to hear them.

I am not in the habit of yelling, but I’d like to encourage you. ?? If the link for donating had anywhere to point at, some material encouragement would already have been sent. Furthermore, if you’re interested in getting a German translation I will be able to send you the files once I get around to translating everything.

Thanks for the kind words ?? I don’t have a donate link, didn’t think I’d need it but I will add it for the update since a lot more people have mentioned donations. Its nice that I’m able to help people enough that they would want to give me their hard earned money.

I think the German translations would be more than enough help in supporting the development of this plugin. For the update, I have been trying to be more cautious and have been using wordpress translate functions to output a lot of the text users will see so it would be amazing if I could get some translations done for the plugin. (I wouldn’t start the translating process at this time, since the update will look a lot different than what the plugin looks like currently)

Thank you for the support, I’m still on track for a release tomorrow (it may be later in the day though)

    Hi there,

saving works now, thanks a lot. ?? I have integrated a table in a page not yet published. It displays well. One minor point I still have is that adding color to cells is not straightforward. I would expect it to work like this: mark cells, use add color, click “OK” or “Apply” and be done. As it is, it seems you have to select a color then click the cell you want to color and then repeat the process for each cell individually. It’s a good thing my table only has a handful of cells. ??

Nevertheless I am countering the 4 1 star remarks with a 5 star of my own. Keep up the good work!

I just noticed the two responsive options other than scrolling do not work. I am, however, using the Layers theme, which has a page builder which might interfere.

    Hey Bitpicker,

Glad to hear the saving works now ?? Thank you for the kinds words and the 5* rating!

As for the color picker, yes that method is a little odd. The way it works currently is the color will select (and apply) the the current selected cell(s). Its kind of hard to explain but if you click somewhere on the body to close the color picker (not on the cells) then the current selected cells will use color selected. Its weird yes, I will change this in a hotfix to make it so you have to click “apply” button. Thank you for this suggestion it will definitely cure a few headaches for others ??

For the hiding column and stacking columns to work, extra options need to be set on the table. I guess I was being careless and didn’t explain this fully on the plugin. The stacking columns will turn your rows into block content once the size of the table get below the set breakpoint (default 500), try to shrink your browser and see if the table changes. It doesn’t work well with every table, so it really depends on the table you have for it to be a good option.

The hiding is a little bit more tricky but it is the best choice out of the 3 options. You have to select manually which columns need to be hidden and at which breakpoints. I will make a video explaining this further and upload it sometime tomorrow since its a lot more difficult trying to explain it in written format.

Thanks again for the review, suggestions and feedback! If there is anything else you feel should be changed or needs fixing I’d love to hear em.

    John
