Would you mind, confirming for me that error persists after:

    – Temporarily switching to WordPress default theme > clear browser cache & reload your site
    – Deactivate all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery) > clear browser cache > re-activate NextGEN Gallery only & reload your site

Do any of those action steps help? I know this can be a big inconvenience, we’re very sorry – but since this is not happening for everyone, this does help tell us if there is a plugin/theme conflict.

Not sure if this is a double post but I have almost the same issue. Using Weaver II theme. When using a tag cloud with a gallery, clicking on the next page arrow in the results leads back to the home page. I tried your suggestions above but to no avail.
You can see this behaviour here if you select e.g. eco range from the tag cloud at the bottom then click the page 2 link. Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.
We are in the middle of a change of theme, and we have just changed the URL adress for a week ago, so we are in a situation that doing what you say above is not the best time to do now.
Today we have a theme called “dark”, and we will replace it with theme twelve fourteen next week. Maybe it will all turn right again after that. If not we will do what you suggested and deactivate and activate again.

It might be that our theme “Dark” is too old and therefore make the trouble.

I will present my co-workers your suggestion, and if we find time to do this before we change theme and update to 4.0 next Monday, we will do. And let you know how it goes.

As a bit more input- I have updated to WordPress 4.0 and the solution does not work then either.

@langva – A change in site URL? You actually may find a solution by running the reset tool under Gallery > Other Options > Reset Options. This will help clear out any stored cache and it will reset back to the default settings (your galleries will not be lost). @primaveranz please give this a try and let me know how it works out for you.

primaveranz – I checked your gallery, and it seems we have the same problem. Hopefully Becky’s suggestion will help us both ??

Sounds good @langva , keep me posted ??

    No joy I’m afraid ??

@primaveranz – Just to confirm, did you bring your site down to the WordPress default Twenty Twelve theme and deactivate all other plugins so only NextGEN Gallery is active, and the error persists?

    -Becky

Yes I can confirm that I did that (in fact I just tried again to make sure). I have also tried using three different browsers, but I get the same problem in all of them.

Not sure if this helps, but the URL in the page that results appears to be the right one i.e. https://www.punc.co.nz/nggallery/page/2 but the content is that of the Home page.

We see the correct permalink too, even if we are on the home page and not page two in the gallery.

@langva & @primaveranz – Although the issues may appear to be similar the are actually not … you are not both using the same theme with the same plugins on the same server (all of which can affect how things work). That being the case, it may be best @primaveranz for you to start a new topic so we can focus on each of your issues separately. Thanks!

@langva – What happens if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme … does the pagination work then?

    – Cais.
